It is important to add that under H1, not only the bulk importation of high-value eCommerce goods but also general cargo imported into the EU territory from third countries is included. Although our new capability is primarily aimed at high-value bulk eCommerce shipments, it can equally be utilized to handle general cargo shipments transported into the EU. 

What is the H1 Declaration? 

The H1 customs declaration is a standard import declaration form used primarily for higher-value shipments, typically those exceeding €150. This type of declaration is designed for goods subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) and customs duties, making it essential for e-commerce businesses handling valuable consignments. By integrating H1 declarations into the x7trade platform, users can process shipments requiring detailed customs data more efficiently, ensuring compliance with European Union regulations and reducing the risk of delays or penalties.

How Does H1 Differ from H7?

To better understand the significance of H1 declarations, it’s essential to differentiate them from H7 declarations:  

• H1 Declaration: Used for consignments with an intrinsic value exceeding €150 and restricted items and excise goods. It requires a comprehensive dataset, including detailed information about t and also the goods, their origin, and applicable duties. Both VAT and customs duties are payable upon importation. 

• H7 Declaration: Designed for low-value consignments not exceeding €150. It utilizes a simplified dataset, focusing primarily on VAT collection without imposing customs duties, facilitating quicker clearance. 

Adding H1 declarations complements our existing support for H7 declarations and ENS filing, providing users with a complete solution for managing low-value and high-value shipments.
